Housing Choices Australia is committed to strengths-focused and place-based community driven development to support life opportunities and resilient, inclusive neighbourhoods. We aim to provide the necessary information, skills, tools, motivation, and confidence to facilitate positive community change and celebrate a sense of place.

There are many ways you can connect with Housing Choices and your local community.

Community and neighbourhood programs are continually being developed for our growing portfolio. More information on these will be provided in our quarterly resident newsletters (Home Stories), social media, and on this website.

Housing Choices encourages residents to get involved in contributing to their community.

Resident advisory committees

Housing Choices has Resident Advisory Committees (RACs). These committees are designed to represent the diverse needs of our residents, raise broad issues that affect residents and encourage and support community engagement and development within their local areas.

Community engagement

We run a variety of meetings and events in our communities. These give residents and staff a chance to connect, talk through common issues, and work on solutions together.

Our Community Engagement team also works closely with community partners and organisations to design and deliver programs that support residents in different ways.

Many residents choose to get involved in these activities. This helps build stronger communities, supports people who may feel isolated, and gives residents the chance to develop new skills.

Our Housing Choices SA Facebook page shares information about resident activities, updates about Housing Choices, tenancy tips and information about getting involved in your local community. You can like and follow the page to get involved with our online community at www.facebook.com/HChoicesSA

Other ways to be involved

If you prefer not to attend meetings or be part of a formal group, you can still be involved and provide feedback in other ways.

Each year we send out a survey to all our residents to get feedback on what we are doing well and how we can improve. You can also give feedback at any time by contacting Housing Choices by phone, email or the contact us page of our website.
