Final residents set to move into new social housing homes at Riverwalk Estate, Werribee
Eighteen brand-new social housing homes have been delivered in Melbourne’s west which will provide stability and security to families in need, with fifteen of these homes completed last year.
Delivered by Housing Choices Australia in partnership with Homes Victoria and EveryOne a division of Metricon Homes, these modern homes are part of the Victorian Government’s Big Housing Build, creating more high-quality and sustainable housing options for Victorians.
Designed with both comfort and accessibility in mind, the two- and three-bedroom homes are designed to meet Livable Housing Australia Silver Level standards and boast an average 7-Star NatHERS energy rating, helping residents save on energy costs while reducing environmental impact.
Built by EveryOne a division of Metricon Homes, in an efficient 14-week timeframe, these high-quality homes demonstrate the impact of strong collaboration between government and industry in delivering social housing where it is needed most.
Visiting the newly completed homes today, Victorian Government Member for Werribee, John Lister MP, joined Housing Choices CEO David Fisher and project partners to see firsthand the positive impact these homes will have on residents.
“This is an outstanding project that has delivered 18 high-quality, affordable, and sustainable homes providing much-needed stability and housing security for more Victorian families,” said Housing Choices CEO David Fisher.

Located in the Riverwalk Estate Werribee, a master-planned community by Development Victoria, residents will have access to two schools, a town centre, sports and recreation facilities, and a community hub. The site is also conveniently connected to the Werribee shopping precinct, public transport, walking and cycling tracks, and green spaces.
Housing Choices Australia will provide both tenancy and property management services, alongside programs to help residents engage with their local community and build strong social connections.
